The hosts  called me a few days before arrival and then the day before to discuss arrival times and to give me directions, which were really useful and accurate. We were greeted on arrival and taken onboard. Our host then showed us how everything worked; making sure the gas was turned off after use, and where we would find everything. The hosts were nearby and made sure we had everything we might need. There is a shower and loo on board but also facilities that we could use on shore too. The boat is thoughtfully kitted out with attention to detail. Even though space is limited, everything had a use and purpose for being there. We ate at the table comfortably and lounged on the beanbags in the evening to watch a film. The wifi also kept my teenage children happy, although I would have been perfectly happy to do without. My favourite time was first thing in the morning sitting with a cup of tea on the deck looking across the river in the sunshine. Then of course in the evening with a glass of wine! I’m not an expert but there were plenty of birds to see, and activity on the river. We ate out in the local pub, which is within walking distance, the food was reasonable and well cooked, and we also used the local fish and chip shop which also does take away pizzas. You are well placed for beaches and Looe is only 30 minutes away. We used the foot ferry to Plymouth and the town centre is only a 10 minute bus ride where we went to the aquarium; definitely worth a visit. It was incredibly peaceful and I slept like a log! I would definitely recommend it – Jane Grafton
