This beautifully appointed boat is a Hanse 445 and only two years old. Pipedreamer 007 has three double cabins; the master cabin is located on the bow of the boat and contains a separate shower room and a washroom with toilet. The other two cabins are located at the back (stern) of the boat and share another bathroom with shower facilities. The kitchen is fitted with a microwave, fridge and coffee machine. There is a flat screen television in the lounge area, and a surround sound music system. The boat can accommodate six people comfortably.
Pipedreamer 007 is a luxurious boat, fully kitted out with colour coordinating monogrammed bedding and towels. The decor on board is geared to create an atmosphere of relaxation.
Just to reassure you, the boat has a Webasto heating system throughout enabling guests to stay warm even in the coldest of weather.
Please note that the microwave, television and coffee machine will not work whilst on anchor in Braye because they draw too much from the batteries. But they all on the electric in Guernsey marina.
Pipedreamer 007 is located in Guernsey at St. Peter Port in the QE2 Marina on a pontoon from October to the end of March. Pipedreamer 007 is in Alderney on a mooring for the summer months. Although on a swing mooring (not step ashore) two water taxi trips per day are incorporated in your rental. The taxi service runs continually from early in the morning until midnight. The owner will come on board at your convenience daily to check the battery and water levels.

If staying on the mooring you should be advised that if there is any Easterly wind the boat can become rocky until the wind settles.

There is no WiFi on the boat. In Alderney the WiFi in the sailing club is unlocked for visitors use, and in Guernsey there is WiFi available throughout the island.

If you wish to stay on the boat in Guernsey there are daily flights and ferries to aid your escape from the mainland, and from Guernsey it is an easy hop to Alderney. Staying in such a central location in Guernsey will enable you to discover the beauty of the island. Within easy walking distance of the marina is the town of St. Peter Port, with its many narrow streets housing restaurants, clothing outlets, jewellers and a wonderful ice cream parlour, the Castle Coronet and Museums. If you wish to venture further afield than St. Peter Port the bus depot is close by, with buses crisscrossing the whole island enabling easy sightseeing opportunities to unfold.

Due to the mild climate the Island enjoys a rich floral heritage with the first wild flowers appearing as early as January until Autumn when the island is a blaze of colour and texture as different species come into bloom.

Guernsey’s environment will reinvigorate your senses, with sleepy lanes, nature reserves, migrating birds and beautiful beaches all awaiting discovery.

Pipedreamer 007’s summer location is on a mooring buoy in Braye Bay, Alderney. At Alderney there is plenty to keep everyone entertained, from the youngest to the eldest.

Right by the mooring is the beach of Braye, sandy, sheltered and ideal for swimming. By the beach are various restaurants, cafes and bars. Located here is the sailing club, fish and chip shop, convenience store, cycle shop and tourist information centre.

A short distance away towards the centre of the island is the village of St Anne, where you will again find a selection of small retail outlets, the museum, Church and various fabulous places to eat.

Pipedreamer 007’s owner states that dogs are welcome on the boat in Alderney provided that they are well behaved and come from the UK or other parts of the EU on scheduled flights or ferries. I cannot think of a nicer location to bring a dog, as little or no traffic, pathways, tracks, beaches and open spaces abound.

Alderney is a paradise for bird watchers; thousands of seabirds make it the most spectacular of the Channel Islands for bird watching. Sightings of Puffins, Fulmars, Guillemots, Razorbills, Shag and Cormorant, to name but a few, are regularly seen during the summer months.

An easy way to explore the island is by bike on the Alderney cycle route. Once you leave the small town of St Anne you will encounter little traffic and with over ten miles of paved roads and fifty miles of unspoilt tracks and pathways cycling is an ideal way to get around.

There are numerous suggested walks; one of our favourite is the Alderney Stones Walk, which takes you right round the island on an eleven mile route, visiting sculptures created by Andy Goldsworthy. Andy chose Alderney for his project called the Alderney Stones; the project involved the construction and siting of eleven 5ft diameter, rammed-earth stones, each containing different materials from around Alderney. With natural exposure to the elements over a period of time the materials are beginning to be unearthed.

For the less active there are guided bus tours and a short train journey, plus various local available boat trips.

An additional bonus is that the owner of Pipedreamer 007 is a qualified Yacht Master, and is prepared for an additional fee to take visitors for a sailing trip around the island on Pipedreamer 007, or to Guernsey, Jersey, Sark or Herm or selected locations along the French coast which would involve night stopovers.

Also available to larger groups is Pipedreamers Self Catering House, which sleeps eight. It is situated in a stunning elevated location overlooking Braye Beach and Harbour. Thoughtfully furnished in a contemporary style; with a spacious open plan living area and wrap around balcony. The house has three generously proportioned double bedrooms (two ensuite), and an additional twin bedded room. The family bathroom contains a double jaccuzzi bath. Furnished and equipped to a high standard with considerable attention to detail, simply pack your clothing and personal items, throw in some beach towels… and everything else will be provided. Please contact us for further information if this appeals to you! ( Pipedreamer House is booked until 2017 for Alderney week already!).
